Unit 1: Kinematics

Position time Graph:

X-axis -  Time

Y-axis - Position

Slope = Velocity

If quadratic that means there will be an acceleration of the object

If linear, the Acceleration will be 0

if horizontal, velocity will be 0 and acceleration will be 0

Velocity Time Graph:

X-Axis - Time

Y-Axis - Velocity

Slope = Acceleration

If linear there will be an acceleration of the object

If horizontal the acceleration will be 0

The area under the graph can be used to find the displacement (Delta X)

          Doesn't tell us the initial or final position, just the change in distance from the start to finish

Acceleration Time graph

X-Axis - Time

Y-Axis - Acceleration

The area under the graph can be used to find the change in Velocity (Delta V)

          Doesn't tell us the initial or final velocity, just the change in velocity from start to finish
